Interpretation

Support for a national research software institution was broad: nearly four in five respondents supported its establishment in some form. About one third saw an urgent or high demand, while a similar share saw some demand. A further group saw no specific need but still considered such an institution to be beneficial; only a small minority opposed it, and around 9% were undecided.
