FutuRSI at Informatik 2025: Discussing Open Research Software Together

This year is going to be exciting: many of our FutuRSI project partners will be at Informatik 2025! The festival is a great opportunity to exchange ideas about the latest developments in research, computer science, and digital tools.

A special highlight: our FutuRSI project coordinator, Florian Mannseicher, will be moderating a panel on Thursday, September 18, from 4:30–5:30 p.m. on the topic “(Open) Research Software: An Indispensable Pillar of Modern Science?”.

The panel will dive into current developments, best practices, and opportunities around open research software — a must for anyone curious about the future of the research software ecosystem in Germany.

We’re looking forward to meeting many familiar and new faces at Informatik 2025, having inspiring conversations, and exploring the potential of open research software together.
