When you visit our website, certain information is automatically collected by the web server and stored in server log files. This includes:

  • Operating system
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing device
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is collected for technical purposes only (e.g., to ensure smooth website operation) and for statistical analysis. It is not merged with other data sources.

3. Web Analytics with Matomo

We use the open-source web analytics platform Matomo to analyze and improve the use of our website. The processing of data is based on our legitimate interest in a needs-based design and continuous optimization of our web presence in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.

Matomo is operated on servers under our own control. The software is configured in a privacy-friendly manner:

  • IP addresses are anonymized before being stored (the last bytes are removed), so that they cannot be linked to individuals.
  • No cookies are set for tracking purposes.
  • The data collected is used exclusively for statistical analysis of website usage and for the improvement of our services.
  • The data is not shared with third parties.
